www.bluegrassbariatrics.com If you have had a previous open or laparoscopic gastric bypass and were unable to lose sufficient weight or have been regaining weight, this could be a result of enlargement of the small stomach pouch and/or stoma. If you are considering a revisional weight loss procedure, the Restorative Obesity Surgery, Endolumenal (ROSE) Procedure may be a good option for you. Bluegrass Bariatric Surgical Associates was one of only 8 centers in the country to participate in the first ROSE registry study completed in 2008. Drs. Derek Weiss and John Oldham are pleased to welcome Dr. Peter Denk to the Bluegrass Bariatrics team in 2009. Dr. Denk has served as the lead physician educator for USGI Medical, the Incisionless Surgery company. Together Drs. Weiss, Oldham, and Denk have more clinical experience with Incisionless Surgery including the ROSE procedure than any other practice. Bluegrass Bariatric Surgical Associates partners with the finest hospitals and is proud to serve Kentucky at the following locations: Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington; Baptist East Hospital, Louisville; ARH Regional Medical Center, Hazard; Jackson Purchase Medical Center, Mayfield; and Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. We offer 100% Minimally Invasive Surgical Options including: Laparoscopic adjustible Lap-Band and REALIZE Band, Lap Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass and Sleeve Gastrectomy, SIngle-Incision Band placement, POSE Incisionless weight loss surgery, and ROSE Incisionless …
If the POSE works, I think that would be so wonderful! thanks for answering.
ROSE is designed specifically for pouch and stoma reduction after gastric bypass but the same devices can be used for other surgeries as well.
Some other uses are closure of a gastro-gastric fistula (abnormal connection from the gastric pouch to the excluded stomach after a gastric bypass) and a first-time incisionless weight loss procedure (instead of a bypass or band as you asked) called POSE we are currently studying at Bluegrass Bariatrics.
why can't this be done instead of any bypass procedure?
